Today i took a demotion at my job of Pizza Hut. I have mixed feelings over the matter but know in the end God will prevail. My life for the last 6-7 months has been work work work and some sleep I worked weekly about 76 hrs per week and slept probably 35-45 hrs per week just not right. The reason being was to get out of debt or at least be on the way there. Although my goal was not completely met I have made good headway on that goal but at this time cannot go further. Sure I need the money to finish but I over an extended amount of time have felt trapped as said job. Please pray for me and my finances under my new demotion I will be at the paper 25 hrs and the hut 25 hrs but at a different store because i feel burnt out at Saginaw. So 50 hrs is not perfect but significantly better. This 100 hr per month cut is taking about 800 dollars from my budget so $8 per hour lost but I think its for the best. We will see My boss has accepted my resignation and requested that I reconsider on May 15 so I can always go back if I really want to

V day and lofty Goals

Post 4 I think i can I think I can....

So yesterday or 2 days ago (depending on time stamp) was Valentines day. It has sort of become tradition for Ashleigh and myself to hang out with friends on this holiday. However each one of us were able to sneak a fast on on the other in the gift department. Those who know me know my stance on flowers. so about 2 years ago I got Ash some flowers and over the next month she killed them. So this Vday I had flowers delivered to her house surprising her. (hopefully she wont kill these (fingers crossed)). She surprised me with a red Ipod Nano which I have named (drum roll please) Red laffy taffy since it is red and comparable in size to a laffy taffy. On the audio book front I decided to buy a 2 per month subscription to audible.com (already half way done with first book best idea ever)

On the posting goal this is number 4 with 31 to go in 43 days still about 1 every day and a half. Ive decided this is a Gold goal Silver Goal is 30 by march 31 and Bronze goal of 25 by march 31. I think Gold is still achievable but might be slightly out of my reach we will see.

On another note please pray for Clint he keeps trying to post but somehow his memory gets erased and never posts currently 10 days without a post oddly enough the day I started my challenge. please continue to encourage him to let us into his blogged life. Well off to work (stupid bonus day) Happy presidents Day

Books and routine

Post 3

Over a period of lets say the last 6 months i have compiled a (once short but now long) list of queued books that I would like to read 10 I can think of currently. Just today I realized that while emptying out my spam email that a site called audible.com exists and offers audio books at a low monthly charge. Secondly I have come to hate Kidd Craddick in the morning on 106.1 Kiss Fm but at the same time realize that it is about the only ting on at 4 in the morning. My solution to this was to start taking my laptop with me on the paper daily to listen to Matt Chandler Sermon podcasts from the Village Church in Highland station (very deep stuff my the way) and Dave Ramsey but by next Wednesday ill e caught up on all the ones I missed. So I put 2 and 2 together and got Monthly audio book subscription. The only thing that remains is do I want 1 or 2 per month.

In other news I am no longer the Restaurant GM of Saginaw Pizza Hut as Kathie has come back from surgery and over the next few weeks Ill be dropping from The Hut being Full time to Part time (Ashleigh doesn't believe me)


Followup to route dogs
Dog two is just a voice to me that scares me occasionally in the night he (or at least his voice) barks at me as i finish my route approximately 2 times per week like some sort of ghost dog

dog three is my least favorite of all he is a jack Russel who thinks he is all that runs in front of my car constantly and me being the kind loving person to all things dog will slam on my brakes to avoid sudden death. The reason I hate hi so much is that twice now on Sunday I slammed on my brakes only to have all the pre-folded Sunday papers topple over in the back seat. It amounts to a 15 min cleanup of all my papers

my current names for these first three are
dog 1 Waco because he doesn't chase after my car if i stop
dog 2 Gd or Devil Dog GD for Ghost dog and Devil because just when i forget he is there
dog 3 Jerk face dog and i know its sad but the thought has crossed my mind to somehow feed dog exlax so I can make his remembrance of me as crappy as he has made my remembrance of him

Already a day behind

Looking at my challenge i have to post about once every 36 hrs and am about 12 hrs behind. In other news my free car thus named old lady car due to its make which is a Buick century. When I was told about the car i was informed that there was a ton of dog hair in the back seat and when i saw it i figured that i could make a small dog with the plethora of fur. However I cant drive it yet due to its expired registration and inspection, cant get it renewed until i get the title finalized. Still trying to get the Suzuki back it is starting to look like the police will be involved so that sux. In other news One of my favorite comedians will be on comedy central with new material tomorrow the 11Th of February so should be a fun tomorrow. Going to bed now long day ahead of me goodnight all

About time

It seems to me that if I post others follow kind of a if you type it they will comment and feel like they need to post something. Other than that the only way to get peoples to post is for Clint to post about all of our procratinitivity (probably a word of not should be). Some of you may say Matt you don't post either and I've come to find out that that is true, causing me to wonder why is that. Has my life not been eventful in the last few weeks (NO) its because the last few weeks have been very depressing in my life, and I don't like to post negative. Since then I've changed my mind to reflect my life as more of an open book. So here is my challenge to myself and to others if interested from now till march 31 i plan on posting minimally 35 times (no more than 1 per day) of relevance or humor. So here we go



Post 1 Feb 7
Today i got a free car and didn't even have to be a contestant on the price is right My aunt and uncle (Tim and Jane) gave it to me. Its a 1998 Buick Century not my first choice but definitely within my price range. The only stipulation is it needs new inspection a new front window and an new battery. Today was Ashleigh's Happy Birthday Party, and everyone who read this were there and you know what fun it was. well that it for today see you tomorrow. Please let me know if you will join my posting endeavor and maybe just maybe Clint wont have to get onto us for not posting in February and March

QT Straws

So most of you know that i have a paper route in Azle and for those of you who don't know ( I have a paper route in Azle). Anywho Most days I frequent the local Quick Trip Gas station and purchase at least 1 drink (usually water) but sometimes a soda fro the fountain to save money. This story revolves around my 1-2 times purchasing that soda. You see every time I get one I casually grab a straw to use as a luxury item while drinking my beverage. The problem is QT uses very weak straws and I break my straw down the middle every time i go out on the route. some would say just grab an extra straw but while in the store (3am) i don't think hey better grab 2 straws because ill break one at 4am, but yesterday for the first time I got two straws and didn't break either one of them (figures)

In other paper news there is this dog that tries to bite my tires every night. when i see him daily I'm moving about 3 mph. At other times he will run in front of my car causing me to break so i don't run him over at 3mph, but the reason I bring this up is there are about 5 dogs on my route that Ive come to love/hate on my route and over the next 4 posts (5 including this one I'm going to profile them and collectively I/we can come up with names for them rather than just dog on such and such street)

Babe's

So this post should of be posted about 9 days ago, but was renergized in my thoughts earlier today. It all started with a text from Ashleigh on week ago from Thursday stating and I quote "babes for lunch on Sat the 10th.". (which promptly caused me to make a punctuation error on this post). It also caused me to do some sort of cheer at work that no one saw me do(thank God) but everyone heard me exclaim putting me in a please explain yourself predicament. So I showed Joe employee my phone (name changed to protect innocent) but after reading I did not get any sort of Lucky you comment. I then chose to ask if Joe had ever heard of babes to which he replied NO. (I fainted) but when I snapped out of it I began a mission to poll all my fellow workers on the existance of said restaraunt. I asked

I promptly ended my poll and took a minute to pray for these unfortunate souls. The told them of the awesome nature of the restaurant. I thought my terror was over but after work today I was asked of I would like a piece of Lindsey Employees pizza, to which i replied no I'm saving myself for Babe's (she has also not heard of the restaraunt causing me to rush home and post)

This is a complete injustice to the local population that has multiple babes restaurants in the greater fort worth area. I mean if these 8 haven't heard of it then i wonder how many 10's if not 20's haven't been to Babes (couldn't be more that that or it would probably be the end of days) well thats it for now hopefully a happier post later
